BarDrill is an educational trading simulator operated by [COPY REQUIRED: legal entity name]. These terms explain the conditions for using the website and its practice features. They should be read with the privacy policy and risk disclosure, which explain how the service handles data and the limits of simulated trading.
Acceptance and purpose
By using BarDrill, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You are responsible for understanding the conditions that apply to your use and for complying with applicable law. Nothing in these terms removes rights that the law does not allow you to waive.
The service is intended for practicing decisions using virtual money and reviewing those decisions against session rules. Access to a replay, chart or scorecard does not create a brokerage, advisory or investment management relationship. You decide whether this form of practice is useful for your own learning.
What the service provides
BarDrill replays historical US stock trading days using 1-minute bars containing open, high, low, close and volume. Times are displayed in US Eastern Time, or ET. You can choose a stock and day or use a blind drill that hides the ticker and date until the session ends.
Orders, positions, account balances, commissions and results exist within the simulation. BarDrill is not a broker and executes no real trades. A virtual balance is not money held for you. A simulated gain cannot be withdrawn, and a simulated loss is not a trading debt owed through the service.
No investment advice or performance promise
BarDrill provides no investment advice, trade ideas, signals or tips. Its content, default settings, risk preview and scorecard do not recommend a security, transaction, strategy or level of financial risk. The service does not assess whether real trading is suitable for your circumstances.
Simulated results do not predict live trading results. Practice may help you examine habits, but neither using the service nor receiving a high discipline score promises profitability. Do not treat a score, historical price move or simulated outcome as a reason to place a real trade. Consult an appropriately licensed professional when you need advice about your own circumstances.
Simulation assumptions and session rules
Executions use a fill model, not live market orders. Market orders fill at the next bar's open plus slippage. Limit orders fill at the open when the price has already passed the limit, otherwise at the limit when touched. Stop orders trigger when touched, plus slippage. When a stop and target are touched in the same bar, the stop is assumed to be hit first.
There is no Level 2 or tick data. The model cannot establish the full sequence of transactions within a minute. Review how it works before interpreting the results. Rules can be edited before the first fill and then lock for that session. Discipline penalties assess specified behaviors, not every aspect of trading judgment.
Acceptable use
Use BarDrill for lawful educational practice. Do not interfere with other visitors, overload the service, introduce harmful code or attempt unauthorized access to systems or stored information. Do not bypass security controls or manipulate requests to obtain future replay bars or records that are not available to you through the ordinary interface.
Do not misrepresent a simulated result as a real trading result or present a discipline score as a professional qualification. You remain responsible for statements you make about your practice. Use of the app does not authorize you to speak on behalf of BarDrill or imply an endorsement of your trading activity.
Market data and intellectual property
Do not scrape, extract, copy, redistribute or build a separate dataset from market data displayed in the app. Access for a practice session is not permission to republish historical bars, automate their collection or use the service as a data feed. Do not evade technical restrictions intended to limit access to that data.
Rights in the service's branding, text, software, visual elements and displayed materials remain with their respective rights holders. These terms permit ordinary use of the service for its stated educational purpose; they do not transfer ownership or grant a separate right to reproduce or commercially distribute those materials. Rights that cannot lawfully be restricted remain unaffected.
Availability, changes and stored sessions
The service may be interrupted, changed or discontinued. Features, available historical days and presentation may change. BarDrill does not promise uninterrupted access, availability of a particular stock or day, or compatibility with every device and browser. Do not rely on uninterrupted access for time-sensitive financial decisions.
There are currently no user accounts, sign-up or login. Practice history is associated with the browser used through an anonymous identifier. Clearing browser data can remove access to that history from the browser. The privacy policy explains the difference between clearing local data and requesting deletion of server-side results.
Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available, without a promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose. Historical data and modeled calculations may have limitations. A chart or scorecard should not be treated as a complete record of live-market conditions.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, [COPY REQUIRED: legal entity name] is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits or losses arising from treating simulated results as investment advice. You remain responsible for real trading decisions made outside the service. These provisions do not exclude or limit liability where doing so is prohibited by law, or override mandatory consumer rights.
Ending or restricting use
You may stop using BarDrill at any time. Access may be restricted or ended where necessary to address misuse, security concerns, a breach of these terms or legal obligations. Ending access does not turn simulated balances into real financial claims. Data handling and deletion remain subject to the privacy policy and applicable law.
Updates, governing law and contact
These terms may be revised as the service changes. Review the version presented on the website when you use it. Any requirements under applicable law concerning notice, agreement or the effect of changes remain applicable; publication of a revision does not remove those requirements.
Governing law and competent courts: [COPY REQUIRED: governing law and courts]. This provision is subject to any mandatory protections or jurisdiction rights that apply to you.
